Free NVQ training for eligible individuals

This is the Government's national funding for NVQ level two and three qualifications, Skills for Life (literacy and numeracy) and ESOL.

The funding is aimed at improving the skills of the nation's workforce to help us be more competitive in the global market.

It is open to employees in all companies, whatever their size. It is available also to self-employed, sole traders and to volunteers.

Individuals are likely to be eligible if they don't already have an NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification and if they have been living in the UK for at least three years.

In some cases you may be eligible even if you already have a level two qualification.

NVQ level two is equivalent to 5 GCSEs grades A-C and if you don't already have this you may be eligible.

If you already have a level two but would still like to achieve an NVQ you may find the apprenticeship more suitable.
