Funded apprenticeship training for individuals

Apprenticeships are high quality work-based training programmes for those who want to develop a career in a chosen sector.

The benefits are that you can study while you work; as a maximum you would only have to study one day per week.

Apprenticeships are open to everyone living in England, not currently in full time education.

If you are not eligible for Train to Gain because you already have a level two, you may be eligible for an apprenticeship.

An apprenticeship programme normally consists of an NVQ, a technical certificate (assignment based) and key skills (literacy, numeracy).

The benefit for the employer of hiring an apprentice is that you can have a trainee who will receive free training while they are at work. This may be more cost-effective than hiring someone who is already qualified.
